 an ever. To meet the urgent needs of this moment and beyond\, nonprofits n
 eed boards and executives who are not only fulfilling their legal responsi
 bility but are also demonstrating strong leadership.  \n\nThis workshop wi
 ll help nonprofit board members and executives gain greater clarity and un
 derstanding of the requirements of and the leadership opportunities for no
 nprofit boards\, what is involved an effective partnership between the boa
 rd and the nonprofit chief executive\, and ways to strengthen their board’
 s leadership and engagement.\n\nAs a result of attending this session\, pa
 rticipants will:\n-Build a shared understanding and working knowledge of t
 he requirements of and leadership opportunities for nonprofit boards\n-Und
 erstand how to build a stronger partnership between the chief executive an
 d the board\n-Identify new ways to strengthen their board\n\nWhile this tr
 aining is open to all\, it is designed primarily for nonprofit leaders who
  are newer to their role.\n\n<b>Speaker Information:</b> Sherry Holtz\nHol
 tz is an experienced nonprofit board chair\, nonprofit board member\, cons
 ultant to nonprofit leaders\, and multi-disciplined human resources leader
 .  She is a BoardSource certified governance consultant\, an invitation-on
 ly network of vetted consultants that share BoardSource’s vision of a worl
 d where every social sector organization has the leadership it needs to fu
 lfill its mission and advance the public good. Holtz also holds a bachelor
  of arts degree in business administration and computer science from Conco
 rdia College in Moorhead\, as well as a master of arts degree in industria
 l relations/human resources from the University of Minnesota. She is the f
 ounder and principal consultant of Mission Momentum LLC\, a consulting fir
 m specializing in nonprofit leadership effectiveness\, strategy developmen
 t and implementation\, and organization design and alignment.
